Bart
is admitted to practice before the California
Supreme Court, the United
States District Court for the Northern District of California,
and the United States Supreme
Court. He is a Registered Patent Attorney, admitted to practice
before the United States Patent
and Trademark Office. He is a California
Registered Professional Engineer (Nuclear).
As
inside counsel, he has counseled management of major U.S. corporations
on human resources, employment, contract, intellectual property,
antitrust, advertising, political and lobbying reporting, and independent
contractor issues and policies, and handled labor union relations,
EEO, employment rights, occupational safety and health, employee
benefits, immigration, facilities lease, and nuclear and environmental
regulatory issues. In the IP arena, he has negotiated and drafted
software licenses, service agreements, and consulting agreements,
including those for the creation of IP, and resolved a significant
case of employee trade secret theft.
More
recently, as outside counsel, he has drafted and prosecuted patent
applications for a premier U.S. manufacturer of semiconductor processing
equipment, in a variety of technologies, including selection, deposition,
and etch of semiconductor materials, and fabrication of micro-electromechanical
systems (MEMS).
Bart
holds a B.S. (With Honor) in Chemical Engineering from Michigan
State University, a J.D. (Magna Cum Laude), an Attorney Certificate
in IP Law, and an LL.M., Intellectual Property, all from Santa
Clara University School of Law. He is a member of the Silicon
Valley Intellectual Property Law Association, the Santa
Clara County Bar Association, the California
State Bar Sections of Intellectual Property and Labor and Employment,
the Licensing Executives
Society, and the Intellectual
Property Society. |
